As many of you know, I am moving to Cape Cod. One of the things that I truly enjoy about our new home is that we have quite a few flower beds and there's a lot of nature. I can sit out in the backyard and hear birds chirping almost all the time all day long. I planted another evergreen, and I was working to pull together and merge the mulch beds. So I was taking away strips of grass and using it to create a path to Carlos the Carpenter’s bees that are now residing on my property. In the process of moving a very heavy wheelbarrow filled with strips of grass, I stepped into a pothole. I went down like a sack of potatoes and twisted my ankle. That night, I put some boo-boo stick on my leg, iced it, and kept it elevated. But over the night, the pain intensified, and I wondered if I had fractured it. So off to the emergency care office I went in the morning. There, they did an x-ray, and gave me a boot and crutches, and sent me home. For the rest of the day, I kept pretty much to the couch. My foot was elevated, I kept applying boo-boo stick, and putting ice on and off for the rest of the day. The next day I saw that the swelling had gone down significantly. My pain also was dramatically reduced, and by the end of the day, I was hobbling along not needing the crutches. I believe I healed that much in 1 day due to:

Today was one of those days, that I just needed a little bit of "me" time. I needed some pampering! Don't we all? I decided to spend some significant time in the bathroom this morning, working on just me! But as I started to set off on my pampering journey, I realized that the dog also needed a little bit of TLC. With her winter coat, that would rival Chewbacca, she desperately needed a bath and a good brushing. So I got out the Pure Haven pet shampoo and off we went. Her coat was so filthy. You could see the dirty water going down the drain and forming a precipitate ring around the tub. Not quite sure how she gets so dirty, as she pretty much stays indoors, but her thick winter coat seems to pick up everything! As I was washing her, I realized how thankful I am for the Pure Haven pet shampoo. It does a phenomenal job of cleaning her coat, and getting the dirt out. The best part is...that I know she is not being hurt by any toxins in the shampoo. I gave her a good brushing, blew dried her fur, (as its very cold here...brrr) and let her go to roll around on the carpets. So... I rinsed out the tub...and realized it also needed some TLC... but put that on hold until I was done with "me". So I took a long, luxurious relaxing shower. I started with my legs, and gave them a great scrub down with the lemon sugar scrub. The essential oils in the scrub just perfumed the bathroom with the hot, steamy water. I took off the top layer of dead skin, and then shaved my legs using the shower gel. Using the sugar scrub first, really makes my legs feel silky smooth after shaving. I used up the sugar scrub from my legs....and scrubbed my hands. My hands get so dried out from using hand sanitizer and washing them a lot. Then I gave my hair a thorough scrubbing with the super greens shampoo. I just can't say enough about this shampoo followed by the conditioner. I gave my face a once over with the exfoliator to get the top layer of dead skin off. After I dried toweled off my hair, I used some supergreen scalp treatment in my hair...as my hair is exceedingly dry...especially in the winter. I used hyaluronic acid for my face, which literally pulls moisture out of the air and into my face, which gets so dry in the winter. I sealed it in with the eye cream, that has both a pre-and probiotic in it. It is so decadent, that I like to use it on my entire face. Such a treat. Then I used a light coating of the hand and body lotion to seal in the moisture in my skin. There were a couple of patches on my skin that needed a little more TLC, so I used the body butter on those places. It is so rich, and creamy. Such a balm to distressed skin. Next, the bathroom needed some work. I used the scrubbing cleanser and mixed it with a little bit of water to make a paste. I use the paste and spread it all over the tub, walls and fixtures and let it sit for about 10 minutes. This allows the enzymes to break down the precipitate on the tub. Then I scrubbed and rinsed and let air dry for a few minutes. I used the surface cleaner to make it beautifully shine, and then wiped it dry with the towel. I used the Surface cleaner on the toilet, the cabinets and on the sink. For the mirror, I used the glass cleaner. What I really loved...was the fresh clean smell. Before I started using Pure Haven, and I used products from the grocery store...I would have to leave the bathroom and turn the fan on to push out the chemical smell. You knew that breathing it was toxic to you. Many of these chemicals are fat-soluble, and guess where you store them in your body? If you guessed the fat cells, you were right... and they are quite active, not just blobs hanging out.
